Original era manufacture. KS98 pattern bayonet with a sawback spine, and a crown W 15 proof. The blade is clean with no corrosion issues, evidence of service sharpening on the edge with a slight bevel to the top portion of the tip. Mix of steel patina finish and blue to the birdhead pommel and guard, original finish wooden grips. Sound original brown leather frog which is clearly maker marked and dated 1914 on the reverse, with remnants of a paper identity label on the reverse. Very nice blue & steel patina finish scabbard, dent-free.
