Original era manufacture. A very clean example of the WWI KS98 bayonet, bird-head pommel, sawback edge, Amberg on the ricasso and Crown W 14 on the spine.The blade is clean with no corrosion issues, exhibiting light evidence of sharpening on the cutting edge and both sides of the point.Original finish wooden grips with an oil-hole on each side. Steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, with crown proofs on the pommel. Blue steel finish scabbard without denting, the scabbard throat screw is present, as is the original brown leather frog and white bayonet knot.The knot displays considerable wear and the stem and tassle are literally hanging by a thead.
