Original era manufacture. A scarce version, of the S98/05 bayonet, being of the Walking-Out, private purchase variety with a sawback spine. Eickhorn proof mark on the clean, chrome finished blade, no sharpening or corrosion issues, just normal runner wear. Chrome finished steel guard and pommel showing an even toned patina of a dusting of surface corrosion, very nice original finish wooden grips. The black leather bodied scabbard is sound, no stitching problems, with matching to the guard & pommel finish to the metal fittings. Original to the bayonet, brown walking out pattern frog, with an original frog for IIIrd battalion, 11th company.
