Original era manufacture. This wonderfully large and complete grouping pertains to the service of one, Heinrich Hoffman, who served in the 6th company of the 115th Hessian Infantry Regiment, during WWI.The lot includes, his Soldbuch, Militarpass, Marksmanship certificate, Iron Cross 2nd Class document & medal, Ernst Ludwig Medal for Bravery certificate and cased medal, Hindenburg Cross, a unit magazine of the 115th regiment published Christmas 1915, a 1909 maneuver map of the Hessian division named to Hoffman, and a very interesting lot of 12 WWI photo postcards, most identified on the reverse and which include Hoffman in the subject matter.Some of the documents have some small tears and folds, but overall are quite sound. The grouping is amazingly complete for having been kept together for the last 100 years. Excellent research potential for one of the elite regiments of the Grand Duchy of Hesse.
