Original era manufacture. I know, many purists will bemoan the fact that this wonderful old holster has been defiled by being modified and I agree that the value/demand is certainly greater if left in its original state. Nonetheless, it represents a reissue by another nation for use by their armed forces and those modifications are part of history. The holster we offer here is a brown leather holster with white top stitching, clear makers marks and 1915 date on the underside of the cover edge. In addition, a stamped Army Corps number may also be seen. On the reverse, the belt loops have been removed and replaced with a leather loop intended to hold a US M1910 belt hook (now missing). On the front of the holster the tip of the closure strap is missing as is the pull strap. The body has been cut-down a bit to enable a larger frame pistol, perhaps a M1911 to be carried. Scuffing and marring to the leather surface from service use. In spite of these flaws, the leather remains very sound and a belt hook looks to be a simple procedure of slipping it through the leather loop, we just don't have a spare one laying about at the moment.
