Original era manufacture. A very clean example of this popular sword, in fact, one of the nicest examples we have had the pleasure to own.The 30 inch curved steel blade is in original polish, and exhibits minor staining from age, zero corrosion issues, and the original leather bumper is up against the base of the guard. The blade spine is marked Crown W 16.Steel guard, pommel and back strap, with a black ribbed composition grip, no cracks or chips. Original finish blue steel scabbard, with a unit marking stamped just below the scabbard throat, G.A.F.6.16.. There is some light denting to the scabbard body, nothing serious, and something to be expected with an artillery sword.
