Original era manufacture. Wartime manufactured sword with a gilded steel folding guard and pommel. Eickhorn marked chromed steel blade which measures 32 inches. Along the obverse edge is a 1915 dated presentation to the leader of Jungendwehr Companie Nr 213. Typical black plastic type grip with a small chip below the pommel, triple wire binding with a steel Wilhelm II cypher on the grip. Black painted steel scabbard is dent free but only about 40% of the original finish remains. The leather finger loop is intact.
