Original period manufacture. Stone gray colored canvas flap with brown leather loops for attaching the messkit. Heavy gray cotton interior with brown leather internal straps  Maker marked and dated at the reverse of the pack at the top. The shoulder straps are present but have been modified for use. Typical hard use and wear, three blanket roll straps are present but are of a newer vintage.
