Original period manufacture. A rather unusual example of two piece construction, with the overall dimensions being smaller than the standard M1915 buckle. Made of stamped steel with a dark patina finish. The roundel is attached with two steel prongs, with a slot in the body to secure the belt hook. Measures 60 x 48 mm, typical stamped steel M1915 buckle measures 63 x 48 mm.
