Original era manufacture. Standard pattern Prussian Infantry enlisted helmet adopted in 1915.Gray finished metal fittings throughout, all retaining most of their original matt gray finish. Full leather lining, with a leather drawstring, correct pattern, aged replica chinstrap which matches the overall condition quite well. Original stamped steel Prussian & national cockades in original paint. Full original leather liner with leather drawstring. No extra holes behind the wappen, which is held in place with two leather wedges. Sound stitching to both the front and rear visors. Overall a decent original helmet, with sound stitching and nice metal fittings. Clear W. Gommlich Berlin 1916 inkstamp inside the crown with a size mark, 54 1/2.
