Original era manufacture. Standard pattern M1916 steel helmet as worn by German troops during the Great War, size and maker marked on the inside of the neck skirt, ET60.Most of the original two-tone brown camouflage paint finish remains, with a wide band of black paint dividing the sections of color. All three rivets are in place, with the (wearers) right front rivet appearing to be a replacement. The Left front, and proper thick style rear rivet, are correct. The original leather liner band is present, with most of the three-pad leather liner remaining, but well worn. None of the three horse hair liner pads are presentl. Proper pattern, but new manufacture leather chinstrap.A sound example of the classic German trench helmet of WWI.
