German WWI M1916 Steel Helmet, BF64, Liner & Partial Strap

Original era manufacture. Original dark feldgrau paint finish on the interior and exterior of this helmet stenciled size mark in black paint on the inside skirt. Faintly stamped on the inside left of the helmet skirt is the makers initials and size, B.F.64 (F.C.Bellinger Fulda). All of the original liner rivets are in place with matching paint finish. The leather liner band is intact and most of the leather liner pads remain, with the tops of several "fingers" either pulled through or missing. The liner leather still remains pliable but a bit dry. An original chinstrap is in place with both of its attaching loops intact, but missing one of the adjusting buckles and that end portions slipped through an attaching loop. All in all are pretty honest WWI German trench helmet.
