Original era manufacture. A good solid example of the WWI German M1916 Stahlhelm, with most of it's original feldgrau paint intact. The maker mark and size stamp are clearly visible on the neck skirt, G62, (Gebruder Gneuchtel AG). The German soldier's name is written up inside the crown, but all I can guess it is his rank, Uffz (Unteroffizier).
