Original era manufacture. An original sawback version of the 98/05 bayonet produced by Mauser during WWI. Crown W 17 marked on the spine, with clear Mauser marks on the ricasso. Reworked by Turkey post WWI, with the blade shortened to 9.75 inches. Original German wood grips. Shows considerable wear and use, the lock mechanism still functions as it should.
