Original period manufacture. We have offered many WWII examples of this gasmask accessory on our site in the past, this pair is thefirst example we can remember offering here.Similar design to a WWIIpair, with grey painted steel frames and glass lenses. The original instruction label is inside the lid, and in the bottom section of the storage box, under the cardboard pad, are additional lengths of cloth lacing and a small strand of wire for repairs.The storage boxis covered in surface corrosion, with scattered denting and missing a small lock button on the edge.
