Original era manufacture. All metal construction, with a removable spike. The exterior displays a hastily applied coating of varnish, with a gloss finish, beneath is the original feldgrau paint.No extra holes behind the wappen, with an intact brown leather liner. Scattered denting to the surface, with a few mysterious small holes in the body of the helmet for some reason. The Garde pattern wappen is secured to the body with screws instead of the usually encountered loops with this model; so it might be a replacement, and painted feldgrau. No chinstrap or cockades.
