Original era manufacture. An issue pattern sword with a crown W 15 proof on the blade spine.Polished steel quill back blade measuring 33.5 inches in length, maker marked by Ernst Busch-Solingen. The blade is basically clean, with scattered spotting from age, but no real corrosion issues, there are about 7-8 scattered nicks in the cutting edge.Heavy steel basket guard, with its leather finger loop intact, fishskin wrapped grip with chevron shaped wire binding.Blue steel finished scabbard with one small dent towards the drag. Unit marked on the scabbard throat, A/R.R.4.5, which I believe translates out to a Artillery Reserve Recruit depot.
