Original period manufacture. Great old hat,soft, patent leather visor which is securely sewn to the body of the hat. Gray wool top with a light blue band with white wool piping on the crown andbottom of the band withpale yellow and white piping at the top of the band. Matching pattern, national and Prussian cockades on the front. Orange silk lining with a wide golden tan oilcloth sweatband. The lining shows considerable wear with the sweatband pulling away from the front of the hat. No moth issues to report but there is some staining from where the cloth top came into contact with the patent leather visor.
