Original period manufacture. A slip-on, wartime strap with subdued cording and black/white Prussian threading, red wool underlay. During WWI the 86th Field Artillery served with the 86th division, initially in the East until the end of February 1918, when it moved to the Western Front. There it saw combat against the French in the Rheims area.
