Original era manufacture. German WWI Pioneer Axe with leather carrier. The axe is in very sound condition, exhibiting pretty much storage wear only. The leather carries was on the axe at the time of our puchase, the only markings that I have found are II Grt. The carrier shows considerable wear with some broken straps, but remains pliable. No visible markings on the axe itself.
