Original era manufacture. A complete, pre-war example with gilded brass fittings throughout, both Prussian and national officer quality kokarden are present, fairly intact original chinstrap (one segment needs reattaching and is present), and removable spike.The helmet body is quite sound, both visors are securely attached, no dents or cracks. The liner and sweatband are fairly complete but display considerable wear and tear from age. The helmet presents an attic fresh appearance, likely not having been cleaned or polished in the last 100 years or so.An honest, unaltered helmet.
