Original era manufacture. See Carter, Vol. III, page 132. Another scarce pattern Ersatz bayonet, which appears in period photographic reverence in use by Wurttemberg troops.Polished steel blade measuring 9.75 inches in length with a slightly rounded point. The blade is clean, no corrosion issues with an even steel patina finish; there is a Gothic letter S on the reverse ricasso.Heavy steel grip with an operable locking mechanism and matching finish. Simple sheet steel scabbard which has been slathered with several coats of enamel paint.
