Original era manufacture. Cold War era production of a pre WWI style regimental stein with a lithopane bottom. Well done and good looking stein with a white porcelain body and colorful transfer on the body. It has a soldiers name and date of 1887-1889 on its base and shows two captive observation balloons. Nice dark gray pewter top with a crowned eagle finial. The lithopane is the tell-tale naked lady seen in many of the post WWII made steins done for the US military forces stationed in Germany. An original period stein to this type of a unit would likely be in the four figure range, you can drink your beer in style for a fraction of the price.
