Original period photography. Real photo postcard, armed soldier in marching order equipped with a gewehr 98. Helmet cover shows service in the 109th Reserve Infantry, Baden Leibgarde Regiment. 1915 cancellation on the reverse from the 28th reserve Infantry Division, period inscription. In the summer of 1918 the 28th Reserve Infantry Division fought against the US 2nd Infantry Division at Belleau Wood.
