Original period manufacture. Standard S84/98 bayonet as issued during WWI. Rather faint maker mark on the obverse ricasso Bayard and on the reverse a very clear Gottlieb-Hammesfahr Solingen. Crown W 17 proof on the spine. Metal portions are clean, lock button works properly, original scabbard shows scattered surface denting.
