Original era manufacture. Standard WWI style S84/98 bayonet by Herder. Crown W proof and 16 date on the blade spine. The blade is clean, unsharpened edge with a slightly blunted tip. The surface has a black paint residue which is a bit difficult to remove. Nice wood grips, crown proof on the pommel with an operable lock button. The steel scabbard is free of dents and the surface presents a mix of black paint and surface corrosion.
