Original period manufacture. Bright finished blade with a sawback spine, Gebruder Heller name on the ricasso, no issue marks on the spine. The blade surface exhibits evidence of old service sharpening, yet retains a nice luster. Even steel patina surface to the guard, pommel and flash guard, lock button works properly. Original finish wood grips exhibiting service dings and dents. Dent free steel scabbard with a black paint finish over the original blue. Interesting brown leather frog, appears to be originally for the S98/05 model, but has had an additional two lines of stitching to narrow the opening down to fit the scabbard of the S84/98 bayonet. No visible markings on the frog.
