Original era manufacture. Issue quality bayonet with crown proofs on the pommel and scabbard tip. The blade is clean but shows graying from age and oil staining. Evidence of an old, light sharpening to the edge, sharp tip remains. Sound wood grips with a dark steel patina to guard, flashguard and pommel. The steel scabbard is dent-free and displays a black painted finish. WWII black leather frog with steel rivets, shows typical age and wear.
