Original period manufacture. Quill back blade made by Haenel, Crown O proof and issue date of '06 on the spine. The blade is clean, no issues, just scattered surface staining. Unit markings on the guard, B.23.R.11.57 (Bavarian 23rd Infantry Rgt, 11th company, 57th weapon). Sound wooden grips showing typical service wear and use. Pommel lock button operates properly. Correct pattern leather bodied scabbard, but displaying a serial number on the frog stud indicating a Peruvian contract model.
