Original era manufacture. V.C. Schilling mfg, quill back, polished steel blade in very clean condition, which is marked on the spine, CrownFA (King Friedrich Augustus III)06, and unit marked on the scabbard throat, 139.R.3.176 (11th Royal Saxon Infantry Rgt. Nr.139).Second pattern, two piece wood grips, polished steel guard and pommel, with a working lock button. Bright steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, with two crown proofs onthe pommel.Proper leather bodied scabbard with steel throat and chape. The bayonet and scabbard fit properly without a gap between the throat and bottom of the guard.
