Original era manufacture. Alexander Coppel mfg, quill back, polished steel blade, which is marked on the spine, Crown W 07, and unit marked on thescabbard throat, 8 K.D.5, which in referencing Jeff Noll's book on regimental markings, indicates 8th a Cavalry command admin unit. Second pattern, two piece wood grips in good order, showing typical dings and dents from service use.Polished steel guard and pommel, with a working lock button. Black leather bodied scabbard, with a unit marked throat, which fits the blade properly, no gaps between the bottom of the guard and throat.Normal age and wear.
