Original era manufacture. Alexander Coppel mfg, quill back, polished steel blade, which is marked on the spine, Crown W 07, and unit marked on the guard, 86.R.3.219. Second pattern, two piece wood grips, polished steel guard and pommel, with a working lock button. Steel patina finish overall, with two crown proofs onthe pommel. Nice condition wood grips. Proper leather bodied scabbard with steel throat and chape, it is also unit marked but to 240.R.12.179.The bayonet and scabbard fit properly without a gap between the throat and bottom of the guard.
