Original period manufacture. Standard butcher style blade for this model bayonet with a bright original finish. Makers name CITO on the ricasso without the typical issue markes on the spine. Sound original finish wood grips showing normal age, no corrosion issues just some staining to the steel which could be cleaned up a bit with a gentle cleaning. Standard type blue steel scabbard with speckled surface corrosion and a few small dents. Again, this could be improved upon with a gentle cleaning. Evidently E.Pack & Sohn had a registered trademark using the CITO name, or CITO-Coln. Little is known about these CITO marked bayonets but apparently none have issue marks on the spine. There are two crown proofs on the pommel, one on the mouth of the scabbard opening and that's it.
