German WWI S98/05 Bayonet & Frog, Horster

Original era manufacture. A bright blade bearing the Horster name and a crown W 17 on the spine. On the guard is stamped 1920 indicating Weimar reissue. The blade is very, very clean with just a few spots of age graying which should polish out. It is unsharpened and the point is sharp. Nice wood grips with an even gray steel patina to the pommel, flashguard and guard. The blue steel scabbard is dent free with just some minor scuffing from old paint. Pliable leather frog made for and S84/98 bayonet, dated on the reverse 1936 and showing some LW Flak unit markings, pommel strap removed. A nice bayonet.
