Original period manufacture. Standard S98/05 Butcher bayonet made by Schluterman, Fremschied on the ricasso, and Crown W 17 or 15 on the spine. The blade is clean, with a bright steel finish, evidence of old cleaned corrosion on the tip.Relatively dent-free steel scabbard body with a dark steel patina finish. Original black leather frog, displaying some flaking to the surface on the front side.
