Original era manufacture. Standard butcher pattern bayonet, crown  proof on the spine, and clear makers marks on the ricasso.The blade displays a dark steel patina finish, with cleaned corrosion pitting near the tip. The cutting edge has not been sharpened, the point remains sharp.Steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, original finish to the wooden grips, which display typical marring and denting from service use. The lock button is present but inoperable.
