Original era manufacture. Typical butcher pattern bayonet, with a Crown W 16 proof on the blade spine, faint makers markings on the ricasso. The blade has a bright luster to finish, no corrosion issues, just an overall greying to the steel.Steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, replaced wood grips without a flashguard. The blue steel scabbard is fairly clean, with scattered denting to the surface, and the throat screw is missing.
