Original era manufacture. Standard WWI butcher bayonet with a postwar blue finished blade. Fichtel & Sachs logo on the ricasso, Crown L & Crown K, 17 proof on the spine. The blade is clean with a Weimar era applied blue finish, normal runner wear and minor staining. Steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, showing some denting to the top of the flash guard. Refinished serrated wood grips. Blue finish steel scabbard with most finish remaining, dent on the obverse side just above the tip.
