Original era manufacture. Standard butcher pattern bayonet, crown W 17 proof on the spine, and clear makers marks on the ricasso.The blade displays a grey patina finish, with cleaned corrosion pitting near the tip. The cutting edge has been lightly sharpened, the point remains sharp.Steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, original finish to the wooden grips, which display typical marring and denting from service use. Denting to the surface of the flashguard.Mix of blue steel and corrosion finish to the dent-free scabbard body.
