Original era manufacture. Standard 98/05 bayonet, sawback removed, produced by Alexander Coppel in 1917. Blue finished blade, crown W 17 on the spine, with clear makers markings on the ricasso. Steel patina finish to the guard and pommel with a 1920 date stamped into the guard.Original finish wood grips in good repair, with minor marring and denting from service use. Steel scabbard with a hand applied feldgrau paint finish, scattered denting to the body, with a replacement throat screw.
