Original era manufacture. Standard pattern butcher pattern bayonet, with a very bright and clean blade. No issues to speak of on the blade surface, unsharpened edge, with the Weyersberg name on the ricasso, and a Crown W 17 proof on the spine.Steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, with original finish wood grips, displaying typical marring and bumping from service use.Blue steel finished scabbard with throat screw. Scattered light surface corrosion on the body, and deeper corrosion on the tip. Scattered denting to the body of the scabbard. The blade is a little tight in the scabbard body, otherwise the bayonet is sound.
