Original era  manufacture. Classic WWI S98/05 bayonet made by Simson & Co, Suhl; crown W 15 proof on the spine.The blade has a blue finish, slightly sharpened edge, wiith no other issues beyond normal age and wear. Steel patina finish to the guard and pommel with light surface corrosion on the latter. Original finish wood grips displaying typical marring and bumping from service use, but with a nice luster to the wood surfaces.Mix of steel patina and blue finish on the scabbard, with light surface denting along it's length. Missing the scabbard throat screw.
