Original era manufacture. Early production bayonet with the "high ears" pattern barrel support. Unmarked bright finish blade, showing evidence of an old sharpening on the edge. No makers marks or issue marks on the spine. Even steel patina finish on the guard and pommel, with a single crown proof on the pommel. Blue steel finish on the scabbard with a crown proof on the tip. Very minor denting and very light surface corrosion on the scabbard body.
