Original era manufacture. A standard issue S98/05 Butcher Blade bayonet made by Fichtel & Sachs and issued in 1917. 1920 reissue date on the obverse of the guard with Police issue markings Pw.B. on the reverse. The surface of the bayonet has been cleaned and now presents an even steel patina overall. Minor service denting to the scabbard body, the blade is quite clean.
