Original era manufacture. Bright finished blade with an unsharpened edge and a sharp point. Maker marked on the ricasso ALEX.COPPEL SOLINGEN, spine date of 15 with a crown W proof. Rough texture finish to the guard and pommel from old cleaned corrosion. The flash guard shows some denting and the wood grips are marred a bit from service use. The blue steel scabbard shows most of its finish remaining with a few scattered spots of denting.
