Original era manufacture. A bright and clean blade with a sawback edge, undamaged flashguard, nice grips and an even steel patina to the guard and pommel. Blue steel finished scabbard with one very shallow dent on the reverse, more felt than seen. There is some scattered surface corrosion on the metal fittings but most of this would go away with a light cleaning. We would have done so, but didn't have the chance this time. Brown leather frog with riveted and sewn construction, stitching beginning to open up a bit near the scabbard throat.
