Original era manufacture. Standard S98/05 sawback bayonet made by C. G. Haenel, Suhl.  The bayonet is very presentable, with a bright blade with very clear markings, and a crown proof 15 on the spine.The are some minor nicks in the edge with some evidence of cleaned corrosion pitting near the tip.  Sound serrated wood grips, with a steel patina guard, flashguard and pommel. Dark steel patina finish to the scabbard with scattered denting along the side. Missing the throat screw.
