German WWI S9805 Sawback Bayonet & Scabbard

Original era manufacture. Standard S98/05 sawback bayonet made by L.O. Dietrich, Altenburg, with a subcontractor name on the opposite side of the blade, J.H. Becker Solingen. At some point in the past the bayonet has been expertly cleaned, as evidenced by a small amount of corrosion pitting remaining on the blade near the point. As it now stands, the bayonet is very presentable, with a bright blade with very clear markings, and a crown proof on the spine. Very nice serrated wood grips, with a bright steel guard, flashguard and pommel. Dent-free steel scabbard with a blue, steel patina finish.
