Original RPC. Sepia tone image of Leutnant Edmund Nathanaelposing by his fighter plane, while wearing the EK1, Pilot Badge, and Hohenzollern House Order. One of the few Jewish officers to receive this award.He was credited with 15 victories, and was shot down and killed in May1917. He wasacknowledged to be the first German pilot to shoot down an SE-5. Reverse displays a period notation regarding his death.
