Original RPC. Sepia tone Sanke card showing a seated Manfred von Richthofen, seated, wearing his medals and pilot badge. The Red Baron needs no introduction to even a casual student of the history of World War One. He being the highest scoring fighter-ace of the war, with 80 confirmed kills. Controversy has surrounded the actual credit for the shooting down of Richthofen, either Canadian pilot Roy Brown, or Australian machine gunners in the trenches below. The postcard has been mailed with a 1918 dated cancellation, with a short note written to Fraulein Raddak.
